COMMUNITY CLASSES:

Jobs for Life™ and Faith & Finances™

Friendship House Roanoke is pleased to offer two opportunities for your church or community organization to engage with your neighbors in need to empower them to grow through transformed relationships.

Jobs for Life™ participants learn a Biblical view of work and are empowered to overcome obstacles and get and keep meaningful work, learning alongside dedicated allies who help them succeed. Throughout the 15 lessons, the focus of Jobs for Life™ is always on identity, character, and community.

Jobs for Life classes help men and women develop character, become connected to a community of support, and obtain far more than just a job. A participant in a Jobs for Life class experiences a life filled with confidence, self-control, coaching, learning, and faith. You can learn more about what the class covers, and different volunteer needs on our website

Faith & Finances™ is not about helping participants achieve wealth or material success, Rather it aims for restoration in each person’s finances—and in their relationships.

In the 12-week Faith & Finances class, participants discover two key themes:

  1. Jesus is reconciling all things—including their money and relationships.
  2. God is using their finances to accomplish His work in the world.

All this is learned while partnered with an ally who supports and encourages them and walks alongside them as they learn. You can learn more about Faith & Finances on our website
